Dr Grant Kleeman is one of Australia’s leading geography educators. He has been closely involved in curriculum development at a state and national level for more than 25 years. Grant has written more than 40 Geography textbooks and numerous peer-reviewed articles. He is the Chair of AGTA and recently retired as Director, Teacher Education at Macquarie University–Sydney.
Susan Caldis is an experienced geography educator who places great emphasis on the role of fieldwork and inquiry based methodologies in bringing geography to life for her students and colleagues. She returned to a school based position to pursue her love of teaching geography after leading the development of the Australian Curriculum: Geography at ACARA. Susan also teaches the Geography Methodology course at university to pre-service teachers.
Malcolm McInerney is formerly Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Curriculum Manager in the South Australian Department for Education. Malcolm has been heavily involved in the teaching and promotion of geography, history and civics and citizenship education over the years and has a keen interest in the use of spatial technology in the classroom. From 2008-2013 Malcolm was the Chair of the Australian Geography Teachers’ Association (AGTA) and the Executive Director of the Education Services Australia (ESA)/AGTA GeogSpace project (resources for the Australian Curriculum).
